POSTING GUIDELINES

You are encouraged to engage in constructive dialogue concerning the endless topics of the Word of God, and this blog exists to do just that. We believe that much spiritual growth occurs when individuals seek out answers to questions while consulting the Scriptures (through the ministry of the Holy Spirit), and that God puts many mature Christians, full of wisdom, in our path for this very reason. This site is here to cultivate this practice, but it must be done with a humble spirit and a love of the Lord and brethren that supersedes any form of ego that may take rise in this forum. We engage in the study of the Word in a particular fashion from a particular viewpoint, one that explores the mysteries of the kingdom from a perspective that is described on our page entitled “What We Believe.” We ask that you consider this before posting a comment, and respect the position of this website. Questionable posts thought to be counter-productive will be deleted at the discretion of the Administrator. We are very glad you are here and we welcome you to discover more about Escaping the Mustard Tree!

2 Timothy 4:11-15

11 This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him.12 If we endure, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us.13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.

14 Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers.
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Titus 3:1-9

1 Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, 2 to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. 3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another.

4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

9 But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless.
